The YMCA of Greater St. Louis is offering two-month memberships free to people who have lost their jobs.
All of the 18 St. Louis-area branches in seven counties are participating.
Normally, joining fees are $40 for adults and $80 for families. Monthly dues range from $30 a month for students to $61 for adults to $75 for families.
The program began officially on Monday, May 4.
Memberships for individuals and families include access to the youth programs during the summer.
