Fashion Week is generally synonymous with New York City and the prominent franchises in Paris, Los Angeles, Milan, Miami and Berlin. So St. Louis Fashion Week might not ring with the same authority, but organizers aren’t hoping for a groundswell — just a small quake will do for now.
The city’s first attempt at hosting a week of fashionable events starts Tuesday (August 21) with a Garment District Fashion Show along Washington Avenue. Stay tuned for news on insights, fashion mishaps, photos of the best and worst and so much more.
This will be a welcome warm-up for our New York City Fashion Week (September 5 through 12) coverage. By the way, in New York a week last eight days and in St. Louis Fashion Week lasts for five.
