I dont have any prob w/ thurston, the way he hustles and he can hit the ball hard.Hes been unlucky lately i think he will come around.Dunc needs to start taking his cuts again he acts like hes afraid of striking out so hes cut way down on his swing. The one thing that will keep him in the bigs is his power. So let it rip dunc, see how far you can hit it.I do remember a couple years ago when pujols was hurt duncan carried this team.I also think platooning ank and dunc will take some of the pressure off those two so they can just relax and take their rips.As long as lud, skip and rasmus are in the lineup im happy.Thankyou Tony

I won’t complain about Duncan if it’s Ankiel who’s sitting, because Ankiel isn’t hitting anything right now.

However, Thurston is the worst player in the majors. He has 10 errors, which means there about 10 people who have more errors than him and he’s played about a third less than all of them and he hits horribly. The only thing he can do well at all is take a walk.

First of all, this pitched batting 8th thing has got to stop. It is stupid and foils a lot of rallies. Secondly, I realize that it seems like either Duncan or Ankiel has to play every night, but I’m glad to see Duncan over Ankiel although both are absolutely awful. However, why not bury Duncan and hit him 6th or 7th. I know he has “power,” or at least we are told, but he hasn’t done much in the power department this year. I would honestly like to see someone like Brendan Ryan hit 5th or 6th; no power, but at least he would get some hits!

    Here we go Joe…come-on, Dunc!!!

Hey, considering Ank’s prior…er, uh…”concentration” problems, can we assume that having the Rook clobbering and, essentially, taking his spot in the field is making this prolonged funk even worse for Dick?

    Must…resist…urge…to…whine…

Honestly, though, as long as Luddy and Raz are both in there, I’m happy. It’s not like I’d rather have Ankiel in the lineup than Duncan these days.

Thurston…well…no whining, like you said, right?
