Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin will speak at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her talk is a week before the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth.
She’s the author of several presidential biographies, including the popular “Team of Rivals” about Lincoln’s cabinet, which included advisors who didn’t necessarily agree with the president. Goodwin also shows up frequently on the Sunday morning news shows as a political pundit.
But in the Land of Lincoln, her talk is titled: “Leadership Lessons From Abraham Lincoln.” Tickets range from $12-$23.
For more info, go to www.artsandissues.com or call the SIUE Fine Arts box office (next week) at 618-650-2774.

Doris is great! She’s always on The Daily Show and her interviews are always informative. I’ll be there!

Actually nobody cares what superdave thinks! Using liberals as an excuse to bash anything. I bet he worships Ann Coulter.

She is talking Lincoln, not comment of liberal policy. Get off it and if you don’t care leave it alone, better yet don’t go see her.

She is a nationally known author and presidential historian! Superdave obviously does not read.
